At Liby Monuments, our professional and understanding staff is here to help make these choices as easy as we can. Selecting a memorial or headstone is a very daunting task. What color, size, would they like a bench or a figurine? Should it be decorative for a home or something for the cemetery? We are asked many questions regarding all of these topics and many more.
Below we thought we would share some of these questions, to help you in the process of selection or possibly education as you pre-plan for someone you love. A. Yes, we do not outsource our work. Once we receive the granite from the supplier, it doesn’t leave our care until after it is installed in the cemetery.
A. No, some cemeteries have staff who will install the foundations. At other cemeteries, we have a highly qualified professional who handles our foundation needs.
A. Granite is said to weather about 1/10” per thousand years, no matter what kind of granite.
A. From the time the order is placed until it is set in the cemetery is anywhere from 3-6 months. In stock monuments are usually 2-3 months.
